Please note, this product is not suitable for use on common, fletton or engineering type bricks.
- Need a perfectly smooth finish instead? Try Sandtex Microseal Ultra Smooth Masonry Paint
For the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dirt, grease or any other surface contaminants.
- New or fresh surfaces normally require very little preparation but they must be completely dried out before they are decorated
- Treat any mould or algal growth with a suitable mould and mildew cleaner, such as Sandtex Fungicidal Wash before brushing down to reduce spreading spores. Re-apply this treatment after brushing if necessary
- Remove any loose and flaking material by scraping away or brushing down with a stiff bristle brush, not a wire brush
- Chalky, powdery, heavily weathered or very porous surfaces should be treated with Sandtex Quick Drying Stabilising Solution
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Do not apply if there is a chance of rain or frost during the drying process.
- Stir thoroughly before and during use, making sure to include pigment gathered in the top and bottom creases of the tin
- Apply Sandtex Masonry Paint with a roller or brush
- 2 coats are normally sufficient but further coats may be required for projects with a stronger colour change
- Allow 3-4 hours between coats to dry
