Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original Gloss is the ultimate solution for metal surfaces. No primer needed, just apply directly to metal. Contains rust-inhibitive pigments for a longer lasting finish. Great performance in low temperatures. A flexible, sag resistant finish.

Preparation

For the best results from Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dirt, dust or any other surface contaminants.

Remove any rust or corrosion with a wire brush or sanding
Fill any gaps and holes with a suitable filler
Lightly sand any previous finishes for adhesion
Galvanised zinc or aluminium surfaces need to be primed with a specialist primer, such as Rust-Oleum CombiPrimer Adhesion Primer
In extreme, industrial environments, further protection from corrosion is recommended. Prime these projects with Rust-Oleum CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion Primer

Application

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin.

Please note: the drying times for this product will differ drastically depending on the ambient air temperature.

Stir thoroughly before and during use, making sure to include pigment gathered in the top and bottom creases of the tin
With application with a brush or roller generally, no thinning is required
With application by spray, thinning with Rust-Oleum CombiColor Thinner, between 10-25% is recommended
Apply 1-2 coats, allowing 16 hours between
Most projects only require one coat but some projects may require extra, especially where strong colour changes are required
Use Rust-Oleum CombiColor Thinner to clean out any brushes or roller once painting has been completed
