Crown Trade Matt Vinyl Emulsion is a water-based flat matt emulsion for interior walls and ceilings. Very high opacity and high colour retention. Quick drying formula to complete the job in one day. Vinyl matt formula enables the finish to be a true flat matt finish and still be wipeable.

Preparation
Preparation
For the best results from Crown Trade Vinyl Matt Emulsion, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dirt, dust or any other surface contaminants.
- Remove all loose and failing paint coatings with a scraper or sanding, take care in the preparation of pre-1960's surfaces as they could contain harmful amounts of lead
- Wash away any dirt, grease or powdery residues with a mild detergent and allow this to dry before further treatment
- Remove any mould or any other organic growth with a suitable mould and mildew cleaner, rinse with clean water and allow to dry
- Fill any surface defects with a suitable filler, sand smooth and remove any sanding dust
- Seal any powdery surfaces or any heavily stained surfaces with Crown Trade PX3 All Purpose Primer
- Seal new porous bare surfaces with a thinned first coat of Crown Trade Matt Vinyl Emulsion, with up to 40% water
Application
Application
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin. Use only in well-ventilated areas.
- Stir thoroughly before and during use, making sure to include pigment gathered in the top and bottom creases of the tin
- Apply Crown Trade Emulsion with a high-quality synthetic paint brush, microfibre roller or conventional spray system
- The usual process is 2 full coats, however further coats may be required if a strong colour change is required

When it's time for a refresh, simply apply a coat of Crown Trade Matt Vinyl Emulsion following the preparation and application steps above.
