Crown Quick Dry Satin is a quick-drying satin paint for interior wood and metal. Its water-based formula means it stays white for much longer than traditional options. It's perfect for all aspects of joinery, doors, balustrade and even metal projects such as radiators and exposed, decorative pipework.
- Also available, Crown Quick Dry Gloss
Ensure that surfaces to be painted are clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease or any other surface contaminants.
- For previously painted timber, rub down with P120 sandpaper for a key on the surface to aid adhesion and remove any dust with a slightly damp lint-free cloth. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s painted surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
- Using a primer is recommended, especially for drastic colour changes or improving adhesion. Prime with Crown Quick Dry Primer Undercoat
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. Do not apply Crown Paint Quick Dry Satin in damp or humid conditions.
- Stir the tin thoroughly before and periodically during use, making sure to include pigment gathered in the top and bottom creases of the tin
- Apply 2 coats using a high-quality synthetic bristle brush or microfibre roller for larger, flatter areas, avoid over-brushing to reduce brush marks
- Allow 6 hours to dry before recoating
When it's time for a refresh, simply apply a fresh coat of Crown Quick Dry Satin, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
